A final run out for the South Mens team ahead of the new season saw them lose 4-2 to Tweedmouth Rangers at Old Shielfield Park on Saturday.
South brought a smaller squad than in their other pre-season friendlies with only 6 players on the subs bench.
South took an early lead after 3 minutes through Stuart Martin after good work down the right by Reece Ferguson, with Tweedmouth equalising through a penalty after 13 minutes to make it 1-1.
South took the lead again in the 15th minute from a pinpoint free kick by Jordan Cropley but Tweedmouth struck again bringing the sides level after 38 minutes to make it 2-2 at Half Time.
South kept the same 11 on the pitch at the start of the second half before making 6 changes in the last 20 minutes. The game was even in the second half, with both sides creating chances before 2 late goals from Tweedmouth earned them the win.
